weekend craft

no stitching during the weekend, basically I am physically exhausted. One glance of the trip meter of my car indicated I have been driving 40,000 km travelling for the last 12 months. However, I have new friends and learnt new things. Finally, not to be proud, but I am happy that I made the tatting flip .....

WWKIP

last week was travelling round trip from Melaka-Ktn-KL-Ktn-Melaka....thank you Mona, as I managed to join the knitters for meet up at Bangsar...it took me long hour to reach there, as for the first time I drove within KL without much knowledge of the location. I arrived at Bangsar shopping complex instead of Bangsar Village. However, my daughters were much delighted as I let them to go to the toy shop to buy them a Barbie doll, finally they chose a Prince instead.

the newly finished shawl is too small for mummy and ended up to be my youngest's ...see the 2nd daughter picked up a dress with purple flower to match with the shawl. They are happy to be mummy's model, and they knew being with mummy for the meet-up they gotta anticipate "boring". Luckily there is MPH bookstore for them.

What finger are you?

I always love to play with quiz to relax myself from all the numbers ...

You Are a Ring Finger

You are romantic, expressive, and hopeful. You see the best in everything.
You are very artistic, and you see the world as your canvas. You are also drawn to the written word.
Inventive and unique, you are often away in your own inner world.

You get along well with: The Pinky

Stay away from: The Index Finger

True self!

The True You

You want your girlfriend or boyfriend to be more relaxed, calm, and composed.

With respect to money, you spend as little as possible.

You think good luck doesn't exist - reality is built on practicalities.

The hidden side of your personality tends to be methodical in your ways - with trouble adapting to the rules of society.

You have a tendency to overdo things, but basically you value your friendships highly.

When it comes to finding a romantic partner, you base your search on information from your friends.

not wide enough!!!!

Thank you Mona for your encouragement. This morning really admired seeing the blocked piece, being playing with it early in the morning, found it is not wide enough? Either I have to rip and re-knit more rows? or may be I have to put in some ribbon for my youngest DD as this is her favourite color, purple....though it is a bit darker shade. But I am really enjoying this, be it lace-knitting and seeing the completely blocked piece. Next one I must do more rows....this one I did 4 repeats as per instruction.

This morning asked my housemate to pose for me....

blocking, new findings? , patch up..

First timer in blocking, I found it is not easy indeed....took me more than 2 hrs especially during the blocking session, pulled and pinned...I almost wanted to CRY, there was a loose un-knitted stitches...the hole was getting bigger while blocking...first thought in my mind wanted to frog out every stitches and redo the whole thing....but HOW? ....so took out the set of lace hook, to pull and mend the hole, forgot to snap the hole, may be I was too anxious to mend it? My housemate said I think you will not sleep until you fixed up the hole....yeah....HAPPY DANCE ,...saw in the third picture, the area surrounded with the lace hook was fixed up...I think the size is a bit smaller, not up to 56" wide....ummmm but I am happy, coz at last I got this lace project done....

FO at last & WIP

Finally I finished this Luna Moth Shawl, which I started 27 April 2007 but distracted with other new projects, as well as my cross stitch maniac and exchanges. So I finished this by Sunday morning 1.30a.m, after long tiring driving journey last nite. Friday, after work I drove to KL by 6pm, with PH on Saturday, traffic was quite congested, only reached KL by 8.30p.m (instead of normal 1.5 hrs driving), took my dinner at my sister's house. By 9.30p.m, I drove back to Kuantan, together with my 2 nephews, sister & BIL, reached KTN 12.30a.m....dropped to bed slept deadly....LOL

as it was too late, I did not block the shawl yet. Bring back to Melaka, most likely to do it by tonight, as I arrived KL late last night; phew another long journey due to bad traffic, 7.30pm from Kuantan and reached KL 11.00p.m....also could not stand the exhausting travelling session and dozed off until this morning and drove back to Melaka and work. I am looking forward to the day moving back to Kuantan by end of this month....

- Pattern: LD 18th Century Band Sampler

in facts I started this way back in March,..and realised I did not put any
